Abstract

Unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis is commonly associated with phrenic nerve injury, often secondary to trauma, iatrogenic complications, or compression due to malignancy. We present a rare case of hemi-diaphragmatic paralysis due to compression of the cervical spinal roots by an epidural abscess, which was resolved after treatment with intravenous (IV) antibiotics.
