Abstract

This workshop will demonstrate ways in which emergent technologies are impacting every aspect of our work as researchers. Participants will learn how to critically analyze the affordances and constraints of digital tools and ethical implications of their use, such as becoming networked scholars through social media; engaging in a paperless literature review through cloud storage; citation management software; annotating apps and data analysis software; collecting data with mobile apps; synchronizing recorded data with the transcript; selecting the right qualitative data analysis software; and writing documents through storyboarding.
