Abstract
Overview: The Cardiopulmonary Science (Respiratory Therapy) Program at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is housed within the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences (CCRHS) along with other health care programs including: Dental Hygiene, Radiologic Science (Radiography and CT/MRI Certificate Programs), Nutrition, Rehabilitative Science and Social Work. The Department of Allied Health Sciences also offers an online BS degree in Allied Health Leadership and an online MS in Allied Health Leadership for credentialed practitioners who are seeking to advance their education. The majority of the students in the online programs are able to continue working in their respective fields while pursuing those advanced degrees.T2ETSU is led by the President, Dr. Brian Noland, and the Dean of CCRHS, Dr. Don Samples. Students graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Cardiopulmonary Science degree. ETSU has one of only three BS level Respiratory Therapy degrees available in the state of Tennessee that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
