Abstract

Trauma-Informed Pedagogies: A Guide for Responding to Crisis and Inequality in Higher Education offers the first evidence-based guide to trauma-informed teaching and learning in higher education. It provides an equity approach to trauma-informed care, includes discussion of trauma-informed approaches across disciplines and population groups, and addresses instruments and strategies for assessment at organizational and individual levels. The Appendix of the book includes a trauma-informed teaching "toolbox" with evidenced-based and field-tested tools (concrete strategies, assessments, tips, policies, practices, assignment prompts, and activities) for teachers. The Appendix of the book also features a collection of resources that amplifies diverse voices across sectors and disciplines as well as Questions for Reflection and Questions for Discussion.
